Pickleball Court Rules
Pilot program starts Monday February 3, 2025, and expires on Friday April 11, 2025.
Reservations and Commercial Use

Courts may be reserved at any time through City of Visalia Parks & Recreation Department.*
- *Exception – Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays only courts 3 and 4 are available to rent from 8am to 11am. The remaining courts, during these days and timeframes, are available for Open Play (Paddles Up).
- If courts 3 and 4 are not reserved, those courts will transfer into Open Play (Paddles Up).
- Commercial Activity Use – lessons, pay-for-play scramble, any activity that charges an individual to participate, the organizer must reserve a court and have a valid Letter of Permit to Conduct Commercial Activity in a City Park.
- Courts may be reserved online at www.liveandplayvisalia.com and in person.
- Online reservations must be made at least seven days in advance.
Open Play ( Paddles UP ) Rules
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 8 – 11 a.m.
Rules for Open Play ( Paddles Up ) go into effect only when courts are at full capacity.
Reserved courts are not a part of Open Play ( Paddles Up ).
- Place paddles in the rack that represents the court for your skill level.
- All courts will rotate after each game to 11 points, win by 2 points.
- When games conclude, four-on, four-off.
- Display sportsmanship when rotating games.
- Be ready to play when your paddle is next.
- No pets or loud music allowed on the courts at any time.
